I inherited this fabulous wicker set of furniture that was dark brown with this horrendous fabric on the seats. Scratchy, dusty and ugly, a trilogy of crimes against my sense of style.
So out with the ugly in with the funky.
I sprayed the set black with that uber sticky spray paint made for plastic (and wicker - it says so on the label). I used matt black b=with a light top coat of gloss. Next time I would use gloss all the way since the wicker is old and needed the extra oomph to protect it and make it look new again.

So... No detailed how I did it photos at all. This was the first time I sewed piping and I didn't have a piping foot so that was interesting. Basic steps:
1. remove old fabric
2. trace onto new fabric
3. sew it together
4. staple it on.
it was really that easy. For the cushions I bought pillow forms and zipped up new covers, they are square so it was simple as well!
